When it comes to Security, Bristol is Fighting Hard
All you hear on the news is crime this and crime that. It’s sometimes nice to know that even though crime is prevalent throughout the United Kingdom, certain areas have security measures in place that are keeping the figures to a minimum when compared with others. In terms of security, Bristol isn’t doing too bad…
Bristol Compared to the Capital
London is the capital of England, and thus considered the heart of business, entertainment and activity. In terms of crime however, it is clear that the security in Bristol seems to be gleaning far better results.
Of course, you have to bear in mind that population may be denser according to location, but to present these results as fairly as possible, the figures shown both display figures within a one mile radius of the central point.
London
Within a one mile radius of London’s central point, a total of 4,077 crimes were reported within the month of September 2012 alone.
Our of those 4,077 crimes, a whopping 1,520 were related to shoplifting, anti-social behaviour, violent crime and criminal damage – all crimes which can be significantly reduced by professional security.
Bristol
For the same central point and within a one mile radius, only 1,656 crimes were reported for the month of September 2012.
Bristol Fighting Hard
Of course, these figures don’t prove that Bristol is necessarily better than London – but the fact that there were less than 50% of the reported crimes in Bristol than in London for the same sized area in a relative point, it has to be said that it is certainly safe.
So why could this be the case?
Security. Bristol is big on security, and there are a select few very professional security firms who don’t just take security seriously – they approach it passionately.
Apart from improving the efforts of Bristol’s police force, security is a major method of fighting crime.
Where security is, crime usually isn’t – or at least isn’t as often. This is because security firms work hard to provide highly-trained and fully certified security guards who understand the industry and know the best methods for pro-actively tackling crime.
Being better isn’t enough though – there are other major cities throughout the United Kingdom whose statistics show as being safer than Bristol. Remember that Bristol is a city where professional security is available – if you want to succeed in safety, make the most of it.
